Sanding
Sanding is a process that cannot be rushed because it is reflected in the 'finishing' process and determines the quality of the finish. We do all our sanding by hand, using specialize sanding blocks and various grits of sand paper. We must carefully study the grain of the wood to ensure the best technique of sanding so that we minimize the obvious scratches caused by the sand paper. We start off using a lower grit(coarse) and finish off with higher grit(fine) sand paper to remove any roughness. After sanding, the gun stock is ready for finishing.
